Over the Top Chili 🥣 Recipe ⤵️⤵️⤵️ Before I jump in the recipe I have to tell you that these Jalapeño & Bourbon Baked Beans from @saucyspoon is what makes this Chili OVER THE TOP! The flavor of these baked beans is INSANE! 🫘 Ingredients: 4 lbs Ground Beef (80/20) 4 Tbsp BBQ Rub 3 (28 oz Cans) @saucyspoonbeans Jalapeno & Bourbon Baked Beans 1 Cup Beef Broth 1 Onion 2 Red Bell Pepper 6 Garlic Cloves 1 Can Diced Tomatoes 3/4 lb Bacon 2 Tbsp Cumin 2Tbsp Garlic Powder 1 Tbsp Cayenne Pepper 1/2 Cup Chili Powder 2 Tbsp Salt 2 Tbsp Pepper How to: 1. Season ground beef with your favorite bbq rub and form it into a loaf 2. In a dutch oven cook bacon and put to the side 3. Using the bacon grease sauté onions and bell pepper until soft, then add in garlic and sweat down until fragrant 4. Next add diced tomatoes and the Jalapeño & Bourbon baked beans 5. Add back in your cooked bacon with cumin, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, chili powder, salt, and pepper. 6. Stir all ingredients and in the smoker or oven at 225 degrees 7. With a wire rack add over your dutch oven and place your ground beef over top so that the fat renders in the chili 8. Stir the chili every hour and spritz the ground beef with beef broth 9. When ground beef reaches 165 degrees internal it’s ready to shred into your chili. 10. Then add beef broth and back in the smoker for 1 hour and serve! It took me 4 hours to get my ground beef to 165 degrees using 4 lbs of meat at 225 degrees and then 1 more hour to get all the flavors well incorporated in the meat. Total cook time was 5 hours and well worth it! #smoked #overthetop #chili #recipe
